Let's face it. The folks who spend large sums of money to put a candidate in office are doing so in return for a candidate that favors their interests. That's why they are called special interest groups. Case in point: Barak Obama. Obama is the 1st President in a half century to expand nuclear weapons; not surprising given that his top contributor in 2012 was University of Southern California. USC is the home of the Lawrence Livermore lab, the largest nuclear weapons research lab in the country.
